Hi, my name is Akeem Favorite, and I am a Certified Licensed Wedding Officiant based in Ontario.

A Little More About Me
I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, and now call Pickering home. Family plays a huge role in my life. I’m a proud father to a beautiful baby girl, and I come from a big, loving family with eight siblings and several nieces and nephews.
I’m someone who truly enjoys life. I love being outdoors, shaped by years of summer camping trips growing up. I also enjoy traveling, exploring different cultures, and of course, great food, especially Caribbean, Mediterranean, Greek, and Chinese cuisine.
Music has always been part of who I am, from playing on a drumline as a child to enjoying Soca, 90’s R&B, Reggae, and Gospel today. I’m also a humanitarian, an inspirational speaker, and a proud dog owner to two amazing pups.
Most importantly, I’ve been surrounded by strong, loving relationships throughout my life, experiences that have deeply influenced my passion for bringing people together in meaningful ways.
My Professional Background
I am a Certified Wedding Officiant and a proud member of the Ontario Association of Professional Wedding Officiants (OAPWO).
My background includes over 15 years of experience working with non-profit organizations, supporting youth and young adults, along with years in church leadership. These roles have shaped my ability to connect with people from all walks of life and create ceremonies that feel inclusive and genuine.
I spent the past six years as a TTC bus driver and previously worked in the security industry for six years. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of safety, care, and human connection in everyday life. I bring that same care and attentiveness into every ceremony I officiate.
